Glow stick send off

Meagan, on August 19, 2017 at 10:03 PM Posted in Planning 0 8

My venue doesn't allow for a sparkler send off, so we're substituting with a glow stick send off. Has anyone on here done this and if so did you get the 8 inch bracelets or 22 inch necklaces? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Smiley smile

We did this at our wedding! We bought glow sticks in bulk in our wedding colors, and gave the leftovers to our little guests! The twelve inch jumbo glow sticks from happyglow.com were the best value at the time.

Not one of our pro pics, but I wanted to show how well they photographed. I think they're easier to hold than bracelets, too.

I think the necklaces are way too flimsy. They'll bend and curve and probably look funny in pics.

I'm not trying to sound rude but I don't understand how a glow stick send off works. Do you just wave them around?

I'm not doing this since my venue had the option of sparklers, but I would do what you want to do. If you do bracelets your guests can spin them on their fingers while you exit! What about bubbles!?

I mean..it is the same as sparklers, just with glow sticks. @emily i would also make sure your photographer is okay with that too. We have seen some.photographers not shoot weddings because of the sparklers.

We are also doing glow sticks. I've seen some pretty awesome photos with them. Also, our venue won't allow sparklers on the golf course.
