So, I’m getting married next month & I keep going back and forth on if I’m going to wear my everyday plastic rimmed glasses on my big day or get contacts for the day of. I’ve worn glasses everyday since I was a kid so they’re pretty much a part of me. I’m blind as a bat so I have to wear...
So, I’m getting married next month & I keep going back and forth on if I’m going to wear my everyday plastic rimmed glasses on my big day or get contacts for the day of. I’ve worn glasses everyday since I was a kid so they’re pretty much a part of me. I’m blind as a bat so I have to wear something to see, otherwise FH is marrying Ms. Magoo! I stopped wearing contacts about 10 years ago because they irritated my eyes. You just don’t see a lot of wedding pics with the bride in glasses & I don’t want them to take away from my overall look. Hair & makeup trial is this week & I know this will play a factor...Thoughts??

He says he doesn’t care either way but that I’m “hot with glasses,” lol!! It’s just how he’s used to seeing me...I do like the idea of being “me” just wasn’t sure!

I do want LASIK but I’m so blind and have an astigmatism and when I had it priced a few years ago, it was going to cost me about $9000. And good point, I definitely don’t want to be miserable on my wedding day!!

The more I think about it, the more I think I’m going to forgo the false lashes & just rock my specs!

Girl!! I’m the same way!! I need to make sure I say “I do” to the right person 🤣 I don’t think my everyday pair is a good idea because they are thick & heavy. But I’m kinda diggin’ the idea of a different pair for the wedding!

Just remembered! On our wedding day, our photographer asked my MIL to adjust her glasses a few times due to glare in the portraits. Perhaps mention that you plan to wear glasses and see whether any related post-processing would be covered?

Glasses are one of my favorite ways to play with my look. If I had a spring, fall, or winter wedding I would have totally done glasses!

I got contacts for my big day, I was just worried about my glasses looking weird in the pictures, like being able to see the photographer in them. I got a trial pack from lenscrafters. It comes with 5 days of contacts. I practiced wearing them for two days so now I have some to wear the day before and 2 pairs for the wedding day.
