Gigi's Cupcakes

Genny, on September 4, 2014 at 2:37 PM Posted in Planning 0 11

Has anyone gotten Gigi's instead of a wedding cake? Or know anything about it. The website basically tells you to leave your information and they'll contact you to schedule a tasting but I really just want to know some basic information like aprox price and if you can do any flavors (I really want their banana cream pie cupcakes)

I have a Gigi's down the street from me...they are a little pricey...but then again I don't really know how much a good cupcake really goes for. I want to say they ran about 2-3$ a piece if I remember correctly. They are decent but they did not wow me. I am actually skipping the cake and cupcakes and having a variety of desserts likes pies donuts cheesecakes etc.

I think they are usually about $3.25. I just was wondering if it would be more or less per cupcake.

FH and I are having Gigis! I believe we are getting 10% off of normal prices. (We are doing minis so I'm not sure about the regular size price.) We can do any flavor and are having 5 different ones.

We looked at them because we went to a wedding last year and they had mini cupcakes and they were awesome! The only thing I didn't like with Gigi's is that you get an INSANE amount of frosting (I couldnt eat it all) and the price wasn't bad until I added the rental fee and then the setup charges. Make sure you budget for all those added costs with cupcakes! Smiley smile

We are doing Gigi's Cupcakes for our wedding. It's basically their standard pricing. So we have 3 dozen regular sized cupcakes, 2 dozen mini cupcakes, a giant cupcake as the topper/cutting cake, and it's being delivered, set up, and we are renting their tier. They are decorating the cupcakes like flowers. Total it's $290, we have 57 guests. They do a tasting and you can pick whatever flavor you wants, we went with wedding cake because it made sense Smiley smile

Great. The pricing I've seen on most cakes is about $3 a slice anyway and more if we want "premium flavors". I'm not close to booking the bakery yet. I'm just trying to do some research on different places.

Check out Sweetie's Delights in Brandon! We're using them. We had a tasting at Gigi's with my two sons and they LOVE cupcakes. We all through they were too sweet. They also have a banana cupcake that is to die for!! Plus you can have as many flavors as you want without an extra charges. Their frosting is called "Whippy Dip" and I could eat that stuff all. day. long.

Oh shoot! I'm just assuming you're in Tampa! LOL! I forgot that Gigi's is a chain. Duh... Sorry!!

We had Gigi's cupcakes and they were a huge hit! We actually ordered the mini ones instead of the regular ones. Not sure if they make a mini banana cream pie. But yeah, it was there regular pricing, no discount for buying in 'bulk'. But we also had a dessert bar and cupcakes were just one of our options. But like I said, they were a huge hit with the guest and us!
