Gifts for readers and soloist?

Mrs. J-Mo, on June 8, 2012 at 1:59 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 6

I have no idea what to get them. We have 3 readers (FSILs) and a soloist (my great aunt)...and I am really not trying to spend too much...

What are you getting your readers/soloist???

...and what do you think about:

- $10 gift card to a restaurant or

- bottle of wine and chocolates

Wow thanks for your question I had not even thought about gifts for them!!! I know I did a reading for my cousin and I did not get a gift. I did get a corsage the day of the wedding which was nice. I think if they are wine drinkers that would be a nice gift.

I want to get a little something for our readers as well, but I haven't decided yet. The bottle of wine is a good idea, I might use that one! I feel like a $10 gift card to a restaurant is not great because that wouldn't even cover one meal at most places. Just a gift would be nicer if that's your budget (which I think is a perfectly acceptable budget for readers, btw!).

I struggled a lot with the small gifts we had to get people, I didn't want to get them crap they would throw away and wanted to get something they would actually be able to use. I broke our $15 budget with these $25 purse hooks for the girls:

But then came under budget ($11) with these bottle openers for the guys which we personalized by putting their initials on them:
