Gifts for Parents

Chanie, on June 6, 2019 at 7:48 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 4

I want to get gifts for my parents and my fiances parents for helping with the wedding. Our wedding is a while away but I want to start buying stuff and putting it up so I dont have too many expenses near the wedding. What are nice gifts I can get for our parents that wont break the bank.

I need 5 gifts (My mother, father, His mother, father, and stepmother)

I might send his step mom an edible arrangement after the wedding because she really likes those.

This is really a know-your-crowd thing! Try to get each person something that you know they'll genuinely love!

Most people go with jewelry it seems. That's what I did but my mom lovessss jewelry aha so I agree with what Cher said about it's a know your crowd kind of thing. Maybe if you can, try to do something personalized for each person.

Like the other ladies said, it’s a know-your-person thing. I’m planning on getting my mom earrings since she loves those. I’d like to get my dad something toolbox-related since he likes fixing things. My FMIL likes tea, so I’ll probably get her some tea, or maybe a necklace. My FFIL is a pastor and loves the Lord, so I’ll probably get him a prayer journal.

    Hey Chanie!

Do your parents and future parents-in-law enjoy eating out? You could get them gift certificates for their favorite restaurants. This would be really thoughtful and give them an evening out to enjoy once the wedding is over.

Do any of them have specific hobbies? If so, you could buy something to do with that, like golf, etc.

You could definitely buy your mom and future mother-in-law some jewelry that they can have as a keepsake.
