Gifts for parents

Cassandra, on August 29, 2019 at 11:24 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 5
So, I know we’re supposed to get gifts for our parents and step parents.... but I guess I don’t understand who buys for who. Do they each get 2 gifts, one from each of us? Or do they each get 1 gift, from us together?

I would say 1 gift each. Either from the both of you or from one of you to your own parents, I think that's just preference.

We both bought the gifts together, so all the gifts came from both of us.

You could do one you get together. That's what I did.

My FH and I are both from divorced families, so we are getting all of them a custom picture frame to put their pics with us in from the wedding. Trying to figure out 7 gifts was just... too stressful. We wanted some unity and they can all use them.

I'm just giving a gift to the Moms. His Mom and my Mom will be getting personalized picture frames, and his Stepmom will get a bracelet to match a necklace she already has
