Gifts for mother of the groom and father of the bride

Meagan , on August 14, 2019 at 5:15 PM Posted in Planning 0 4
Hello! We are 43 days from the wedding! I’m so nervous! My fiancé thought her got his mom a gift, so he had a necklace made for her from
the diamond out of her original wedding ring. Super sweet and nice! I haven’t got her anything and now I realize I think I am suppose to and not him. Any ideas? I obviously can’t get a necklace now. Also, ideas for my dad? Are we even gifting correctly?

You guys could get one gift and present it together. That's what we did.

We are gifting as a couple. So he is getting his mom a gift certificate for a massage and we had a tumbler made for her. I'm getting my moms hair, makeup, nails, and a tumbler. These gift will be from both of us.

We're doing parent gifts, and trying to give a little more to those who are giving us more. I made the moms tote bags and the dads barrel stave bottle openers, and we're going to get them all alcohol from the distillery where we're getting married. We also want to get them photo books later, and might write that in a card.

Hey Meagan! The necklace that your FH got for his mother sounds so beautiful and such a thoughtful idea. Have you thought about gifting things as a couple to your parents? This seems like a much easier and cohesive way to do things. You both obviously want to thank each of your parents so I think one gift from you both would be a great idea.

Does your dad have any hobbies or specific interests that you could inform your gift to him? This will ensure that you get him something that he loves and will use.
