Hey ladies,

Im getting married next month (eeek!!) 46 days now.Im at the stage where im gathering gifts for my bridal party, and my mom and fmil.Im torn what to get my mom that would mean alot to her. My dad passed away 3 years ago this December, so its just my mom. Its been hard, and will be an even harder day without my dad there.
I found this beautiful necklace on etsy, i love the quote. I am just not sure if my mom would ever wear it unfortunately
What is everyone getting their mom as a gift? I will take any suggestions!Gifts for mom 1

That’s beautiful! Even if she’s not normally a jewelry person, your mom may wear it simply because it’s a gift from you. Since you love the saying, I’d suggest looking into getting a nice handkerchief embroidered with that saying, your name and the date. Granted, I don’t know how long it would take or what it would cost, but it’s a thought. Otherwise, I’d look into mom of the bride hankies that have similar sayings, are customizable and ready for purchase. There are some cute ones on Etsy.

I love that quote too, but my mom wouldn’t ever wear something like that either. I did a watercolor painting for my mom and I’m debating if I want to write a poem on some of the negative space or not. I only have a couple more days to decide! I’m also giving her a couple books I think she’ll like because she’s a big reader, and after the wedding she’ll get a couple framed prints.
What’s does your mom like? Maybe we could come up with some suggestions. I know a lot of people say to shop like it’s her birthday or Christmas.

The quote, based on the Robert Munsch children's book, is something my daughter and I have said to each other since she was a baby, so I love it too! Personally, I probably wouldn't wear the locket, but that's really a personal choice so if your mom would wear something like that it's a great choice. Daughter gave me a handkerchief with this quote embroidered on it -- clearly not something I use frequently, but it was a sweet and sentimental choice for us. (She and SIL also wrote each of us four parents very sweet and personal thank you notes -- I'll treasure mine for the rest of my life.) Smiley heart

It’s beautiful and has such a wonderful sentiment! I’m sure your mom will appreciate the gift and the association of it with your wedding regardless if it’s her style or not. I just lost my mom earlier this year, but I know she wanted to be there and look and feel beautiful. The plan was to pay for her hair and make up that day. Luckily, future mother in law will be there, so we will be gifting her hair and make up that day!
