Gifting for parents

You wouldn't gift your parents or in laws anything unless they contributed some way to the wedding (financially or otherwise) I would get each couple something, not each individual parent something - but thats just me personally what I would do.

We're not doing any gifts. We're paying for our wedding and honeymoon ourselves, so there's no need to spend any more money on a gift to each other nor thank our parents since they're not contributing.

We are just getting gifts from us. We have been a couple for a decade and we are finally legally becoming one so why wouldn't you gift as a couple to all 4?

We are getting gifts for each parent as each has contributed towards our wedding in some way, whether it be giving us straight cash or paying for something in our wedding. The one gift will be from the both of us though. We are going to get a piece of jewelry for each of our mothers in their birthstone. No clue what we are doing for fathers yet, we still have to figure it out. But all 4 gifts will be from both of us.

Both of our parents have contributed in any way they can so we got them thank you gifts.
We got a small sentimental token for each parent and then a combined thank you gift certificate to a restaurant for both of my parents and both of my FH’s parents. Moms we have an embroidered handkerchief and dads a pocket token with the date.
