Gift Lists Missing??

They're gone. WW will tell you they send out a couple of emails letting you know ahead of time so that you could download your lists. Unless something has changed, you're out of luck. Sorry - most of their recent changes we're terrible!

Hi Abbey! This summer, we retired a few lower usage tools on our platform to allow us to prioritize resources as we continue to focus on developing and supporting our remaining tools. We sent email notifications of this change along with directions to export gift tracking data in mid May to give users an opportunity to save this data. Abbey, were you able to retrieve your list? I'm having a panic attack. I definitely didn't get any notification emails and have no way to get my gift list back.

Then why were my wife and I able to add gift information in July after our wedding?? I NEVER received an email that this feature was going out of service and we would be losing this data. Unacceptable

This is ridiculous. I never got one E-mail that you were removing this feature. I can't believe I've lost my list!

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My list is gone and now I have NO IDEA who, what were for me to finish!!! This is a total nightmare!

I can't say NO idea, I did keep all gift receipts and cards from the wedding, but they are in some box somewhere in our basement because we moved!! I cannot believe this.. all the information was on here and now I am in a total nightmare spin!!!!

Came on to look for my gifts list, and just saw this. I'm freaking out too. Was anyone able to retrieve their lists? I can't believe its all gone. (And I'm 99% positive I never received any email telling me I needed to save my lists.) This is seriously a nightmare.

I never recieved an email from the site saying that they were deleting my gift list either. Even though my wedding was in 2016 and all my thank yous were completed long ago, I had been using the Wedding Wire site to keep track of the amount of money guests gave us so that we could gift a similar amount for our current friend's weddings. This is a very disappointing feature that was removed and really wish I was actually notified about this change.

Hi Nicolle, we're so sorry for the inconvenience! An email was sent before the tool was deprecated encouraging users to export their information. Unfortunately, at this time, there is no way for us to retrieve any of that information.

This is UNACCEPTABLE. I NEVER received any communication either and was shocked to find my list missing. I've recommended this website and tool multiple times because of the ability to look back and see what gifts were given to me in the past, and keep track of my thank you notes and future gifts. It is UNBELIEVABLE that your IT department cannot track down information that was literally archived on the site for YEARS. I would like my lists immediately, and I will be spreading the word about the risk of using this site and losing your information at anytime.

Are you kidding? I took so long on that and was keeping it as reference for future weddings to come. Thank goodness I wasn't a bride doing my thank you notes when you decided to delete it! Never got an email, just like others have stated.

Ugh...We do the same exact thing, our wedding was in 2015 but I always revisit our gift list prior to attending a wedding. I just came on to check on a gift for a wedding we are attending this weekend, only to just find out that they are no longer on here. We definitely never received any email notifications.

Same story here. NO EMAIL! I absolutely would have downloaded my stuff but was never told about it. I got married 7 years ago and have no idea what people gave me offhand. I’ve been referring back to my list for years when I’m invited to weddings and am so disappointed and frustrated the records are gone.

There should have been MULTIPLE emails (or, let’s be honest, one. I don’t believe any warning sent out.) or a way to archive the pages for a while. It’s not surprising people are so upset. Dumb move, wedding wire. 😠

I also came on here because I use this feature when I attend another friend's wedding, just to make sure we're not giving them less than they gave us. I definitely didn't get a mail either, because I would have saved my info knowing that I do use it occasionally. I think WeddingWire accidentally lost everyone's info and now is backtracking and saying that they emailed us about it knowing that we can't prove that. Ohwell. It's not the end of the world but I'm pretty bummed. I don't care what my budget was, and all that info is still in the system. With all these people complaining on here, it doesn't seem like this was a "low-usage" tool.
