Gift for your so

I see a lot of people on here talk about day of gifts. Is it that common? My fiancé and I felt it’s a waste (no judgement to anyone else, just a waste for us personally).

I was planning on gifting him the cuff links he'll wear and I found an Etsy shop that engraves your pet's face on them! Our pup won't be able to join us for our destination wedding and it's pretty much the one detail he doesn't like about our big day. I'll give those to him the morning of the wedding (or have his best man give them to him) along with a letter.

I have also been keeping a journal throughout our engagement that I plan on giving to him on our wedding night - I've been including pictures and memories (big and small). He's a chronic journal-er so it felt like a fun sort of keepsake for him!

I love that! I'm planning to have similar pins/ charms tied to my bouquet of our loved ones that passed away. I've been toying with the idea of maybe getting FH a really nice watch. His mom got him a nice one for his college graduation, but it's broke and he's been putting off getting it fixed while we pay for the wedding. I know that one means a lot to him, and I don't want to seem like I'm stepping on her toes by getting him a new watch. I'm also planning to write him a really heartfelt letter regardless of whatever I end up getting him.

My FH and I are not exchanging gifts. Just a card with a letter for the morning of.

I gave him more of a comedic cutesy thing. i got my husband socks that said in case you get cold feet

I love that, my mom actually beat me to that gift, the day we went shopping for my wedding dress she gave me a ribbon for my bouquet with all my grandparents pictures on it and provided a pin for my FH with his late god father on it.

My love language is gift giving so FH is in for a handful of gifts, plan on getting him personalized socks, and cufflinks, I also found a whiskey label I can customize and put on a bottle of his favorite whiskey, and then as a fun whimsical gift he's getting a pair of boxers with my face printed on them lol

I absolutely love that!!! So thoughtful. 💙. I’m literally in the midst of shopping for a gift for my FI and contemplating a Tag Huer Monaco watch which was his favorite watch that was stolen from our home. I can’t wait to see his face when I present it to him!

View Quoted Comment My gift for my husband also included our dog, who was not able to attend. I commissioned a pet portrait painted by the Best Man's wife. She was already doing these on commission and my FH loves her work. It was a gift I knew we would both enjoy and he cried when he unwrapped it at the wedding. I gave it to him right after the speaches.
