Gift for grandfather/officiant

AprilBride, on December 11, 2014 at 10:38 PM Posted in Planning 0 2

My grandfather is officiating our wedding. I'd like to gift him a nice silver frame engraved with something special, holding a photo from the ceremony, as a gift. Obviously I would have to wait to do this until after the pictures come back. Is this okay as a gift, or should I make sure to have something on hand the day of to give him as well?

You might want to get a nice card in which you can write your own sentiment. Give it to him on the wedding day, and make sure to write that you were honored by his participation and that he's going to receive a very special, personalized gift. That way, he'll know, on the wedding day, that you did something special for him and you'll still have the time to wait for the photos to come in.
