Gift for DJ?

Jackie, on February 27, 2017 at 11:03 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 7

Our DJ friend is offering his services at no cost and it just dawned on me that we should get him a thank you gift? Any thoughts? He is not much of a drinker so a bottle of liquor or wine won't do. He is a very artsy type of person.

You should gift him money. As in, pay him.

You should not have your friend as a DJ.

Unless he declined any sort of payment what so ever, I would just give him money.

You should pay him. Or at least give him a hefty tip.

@A.L. - He is an actual DJ not just someone who does this as a hobby.

Ok thanks everyone. I will just go that route then.

Hand him a check or a bundle of cash in an envelope--if he refuses it then you're good.

And please make sure you have a contract.

@Jackie, it does not matter if he is a professional or not. Friendors is a huge no around here.
