Gift for coordinator/friend

K. T., on October 2, 2020 at 2:42 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 5
My close friend is an incredible professional wedding coordinator, and she generously offered (we never even asked!) to help us coordinate our wedding for free! She is extremely busy as a professional coordinator & we'd never want to take advantage of her kindness, so we have always tried to do most things on our own. Even so, she has still helped me plan, organize and problem-solve without ever complaining or making us feel like we were encroaching on her time. She has even pulled strings for us with other vendors for discounts. I want to give her a nice gift on our wedding day to thank her, but we can't afford that much. I've seen the wedding coordinator badass mugs and chaos coordinator mugs/glasses, but those don't quite feel like enough....any gift ideas for her? I'm hoping to stay at $50 or under. Thanks!

I would get her a nice bottle of wine (if she drinks) and a gift card either to a spa or her favorite restaurant.

I was going to say exactly what the previous person said. A gift card to a spa is always nice.

I agree with gifting what you can afford as a gift card for something that would be a treat for her -- spa, nail salon, restaurant, etc. or else a product you know for a fact she'd enjoy, like a nice bottle of wine. I would skip the mugs, glasses, etc. If she's been doing this for a while, she likely has any of those kinds of things she'd want. (I just retired from teaching, it wasn't till I cleaned out my office that I realized how many teacher desk & wall signs I've been gifted over the years. Each was sweet at the time, but kind of pointless after a while.)

I'd also write her an incredibly sweet thank you note and post as many glowing reviews as possible. Good luck!
