Gift for 10 year old boy

My fiancé has a 13 year old daughter and 10 year old son. Their mother passed away several years ago so it's very important to me that they know that I am always there for them as family. I wanted as part of the ceremony to give them something. I thought for his daughter a special necklace but not sure what to get a ten year old boy that is special and sentimental. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! Btw, I'm new to the site. I got engaged in October but with the holidays I just started getting into really planning so hello everyone!!

    I think for kids it's about getting them something they would really like. Does he have a favorite character, author, band, or activity? He'll appreciate something associated with that than, for instance, engraved cufflinks.

    Is he into Pokemon? My son is ten and he would love anything to with that. Surely the world wide web has something Pokemon that can be personalized... A watch maybe?

    I was thinking a watch too. Otherwise something associated with one of his interests would be cool whether that's going to a concert, event, or something.

    I was thinking maybe a watch. I want it to be something he can have forever not just a fad toy. The compass idea has me thinking maybe a pocket watch. Thanks everyone!
