Gift amount for Aunt

Give what you can afford and are comfortable giving.

I don't think it's too little at all. A lot of people on here give way too much. Gifts don't need to be $250. That's just crazy.

Depends on venue. If the venue is an expensive one I would give enough to at least cover my plate. On the other hand if its just restaurant/city hall $100 is fine. Also an alternative get her a gift for their home together, if she has a registry get something from there. But remember give what you can afford, you have a wedding of your own to plan, and Im more than sure his aunt would understand

I had people give anywhere from 15 bucks to several hundred dollar gifts and I appreciated every single one of them, no matter how much it was. Give what you can afford. I think 100 is generous and I'm sure your Aunt would be thankful to get it.

Thanks everyone! A little background... his Aunt is getting married at the courthouse in VA then coming up here (RI) for the honeymoon and to spend Thanksgiving with FH's family. FMIL and FFIL are giving money so I think $100 is good but I'll ask his mom to see what she thinks as well.
