Getting your Period or on your period the day of your wedding dress

Not sure if anyone has ever asked this but wanted to know how we can do it if we get our period or if we are on our period. Is there a way we can cut our period,

I have the depo birth control shot. Has had it for a year now and have never gotten my period on it. They say it's rare to get it on the shot.

If the worst comes to the worst, and you absolutely can't manage to skip your period with BC, I use a soft cup (I think it's also called Diva?) which is way less hassle than a tampon- you can leave it in for 12 hours without thinking about it, and you can actually *ahem* consummate with it in. Not ideal, I know, but also not the worst.
