Getting ready

Macy, on July 3, 2019 at 8:32 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 23
Anyone not having specific getting ready outfits? I can’t find anything that catches my eye. But at the same time I feel like the thought doesn’t bother me. I know I’ll wear leggings and some type of button up shirt. Should I get something for all the girls anyway so it looks good for pictures?

This is entirely up to you! I don't really think your bridal party will care either way. However, if you would like to purchase them a "getting ready" outfit, robes, PJ's or a nice t-shirt are all good options. I purchased robes for my girls!

Those are super cute! I like the idea but we’ll probably want button ups so we don’t have to take them over our hair and makeup or racerback tanks. I don’t think my girls would wear robes, I love them though. Where did you purchase them from?

I didn't have any because we weren't really planning to get ready altogether but I admit the outfits are super cute

That is totally up to you! I am not doing robes because of the size and height difference of all of my bridesmaids, I just don't think they would love them. We are wearing leggings, my MOH is getting everyone tanks with their roles, and then I am getting them zip up hoodies that have their monogram on them!

I got flannel shirts for all my girls - red and black for the girls and white and grey for me. They button up, and I think we'll all actually wear them afterwards.

Completely understandable! I purchased them on Amazon from Joy Mabelle for $28/robe

I got a button up shirt for myself because my girls both said they probably would never wear their "getting ready outfit" again so I didn't want to waste money just for a couple cute pictures. I like the idea of a PJ set though!

I had my girls choose between a romper, shirt, tank top, and dress. Whatever they picked I am buying them. They will all be sunflower themed, and that's what we are getting ready in

I'm not. I think it's pointless and a waste of money for us. I think it's cute for other people if that is what they want. It's not at all important to us. With my group of friends though, it's likely that my MOH and I will wander around in underwear and it'll all be good. LOL

I got my girls robes just in case someone forgets a button up or in between hair and make up. I opted against the typical bridal robes and got a basic style in colors they'll like.

Ignore the wrinkles, I just unpacked them haha.

I'm not. Those things add up, and I'm on a tight budget.

I didn't get specific outfits and we didn't do getting ready photos other than zipping up dresses and putting on jewelry.

You don't necessarily need to do anything special for it. We decided to buy matching t-shirts and make them up for the bridal party to wear the morning of. My mom happens to have the means to print the shirts for us but you could always see if you have a local place that could do it for you.

I thought about flannels and leggings as well because I figured they would rewear them. I just hate to get something they won’t reuse. I picked a bridesmaid dress because they could reuse it

That was my thought as well. I feel like they may wear it just because I want them to. But in reality it doesn’t make much of a difference to me

I didn’t think about that! My mom can print on shorts as well! That’s a great idea

The shirts didn't cost much to purchase. We just picked out what we wanted them to say and she's printing them. That way we get exactly what we want without paying a huge amount for it.

We didn't do matching outfits - everyone just wore what was comfortable - but we also didn't do "getting ready" photos - they just seemed unnecessary
