Getting ready together or separately (lgbtq)

Crystalyn, on November 28, 2021 at 4:50 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 3
My fiancée and I are both brides and our venue has two rooms for getting ready. They only recently added the second room. Should we get ready together or separately? We had originally planned to get ready together and then just dress separately.

It’s all personal preference, but I think if there is space get together separately. It will add to the wow factor when you first see each other.

My SIL and her wife got hair and makeup done together but then separated for putting on the dresses and didn't see each other in full attire until the first look photos. I would also think about the logistics if you are having hair and makeup professionally done. Are you going to hire two of each or have the person work in 1 room, then pack and move over to the other (they probably wouldn't want to set up twice).

It's definitely a personal preference thing, but I think it would be so fun to get ready together and then get dressed separately! It could also be really fun to split up and have two different vibes in each of the rooms....maybe you play spa music in one and rock in the other? I don't know, just throwing things out there. Then you could tap on the wall (if they are adjacent) in morse code or something to send "messages." I think you can't go wrong with whichever you choose!
