Getting Ready Robes

Angie, on April 18, 2021 at 10:07 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 6

I like the idea of gifting robes for my bridesmaids to use when we are getting ready in the suite. I want to do pretty floral silk robes. However, one my bridesmaids will be wearing a tuxedo. She's not a girly girl. I'm trying to figure out how to include her. Any ideas?

How about instead of getting ready robes... cute monogrammed pj's, maybe that fit their personalities somehow?

Or, a plain robe (black, navy etc) that would match her tuxedo?

I like Rosie's idea of matching PJs instead!

As a former bridesmaid, I never use the robe I was gifted, and it was a floral silk robe lol. It just doesn't stay tied, and isn't flattering.

My girls are wearing PJs! They are button-up style with a pocket. Maybe something like that? Got mine off Etsy for $13. They had floral ones but I order solid purple and a white set for me.

PJs, t-shirts, or button down shirts would work really well!! Smiley heart

Agree with this. Pjs are more V likely to be kept afterwards. Don’t monogram them with date/title. Also because they are button up they will work great for the beauty team.

    This is so true.

one friend gave us a super cheap one which fit her theme colours but as you say, is a bit short and doesn't stay closed because the fabric is so slippery. I do occasionally wear it after a shower but not often.

Meanwhile, the one my sister gave us is actually super flattering and such a cute colour, but it has 'bridesmaid' written across the back. I still do wear it sometimes at home since it's so silky and comfy but I wish it didn't have words on it.

I got un-worded robes for mine so they could wear them again if they want - but really they're just for the 'gram (as the kids probably don't say, lol!) I mean, they'll be in your theme colour, which the recipient may or may not like, so even if they WERE comfy and didn't have BRIDESMAID on the back, it's possible they won't wear it anyway, so I haven't purchased it expecting it to be kept. Here are mine:
