Getting Ready Outfit

Mrscolón, on May 29, 2018 at 3:58 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 57
Do you have any day of outfits planned for you and your bridal party? I’ve been thinking about flannels or t-shirts! There are just so many cute ideas like tanks, pj pants, sweatshirts.

I would love to see and hear what you plan to do! Pictures are always great for those of you already married, or any inspiration pictures like mine! Smiley smile

We're just doing robes off of Etsy! Nothing personalized, because I wanted them to be used after the wedding too.

Yeah I want something that won’t be a waste of money. That’s why I figured flannel pjs could always be reused.

My thought with flannel shirts is that I could either do a monogram on the pocket or back. Or do them plain and have bridesmaid tanks underneath for personalization. That way they can rewear the flannel whenever.

    Thoughts?

I'm doing monogrammed robes! I considered PJs or flannels, but our wedding is in Colorado in July and we are getting ready from 11-4, so it'll be the hottest part of the day, like 80-90 degrees! So I'm just doing robes, the girls can wear whatever they want they just need robes on for the pictures haha. I'm going to order these, I think! https://www.etsy.com/listing/460916210/bridal-party-robes-navy-cotton-waffle?ref=user_profile

As a bridesmaid, I would have no issues with this! I think it's a cute idea.

I love the robes! They look super comfy, too! We are getting married in NH end of September so the weather will either be chilly or comfortable, which is why I’m thinking of those two options!

My wedding is in the winter time so it's chilly in northern Florida. I bought my bridesmaids really lightweight flannels. I didn't want them to get too hot while getting ready (with a lot of people in the room and heating tools), but it still looks wintery. (they're navy, light blue, and white). I thought the flimsy robes weren't enough, and most are see-through. Before I bought them, I was totally going to go for the mix and match look and just ask my bridesmaids to wear a flannel if they owned one.

My mom and I bought everyone flannels at the end of winter (probably February?) that were on sale $10 a piece from Old Navy. So if you plan on flannels definitely wait until those winter sales hit after Christmas!

My cousin is also doing flannels, she got hers from a local boutique but they're unique looking and her wedding colors as well (like, apple red). She's having a fall wedding in a barn, so her flannels feel more "rustic" for her getting ready pics.

I do love the idea of PJs too! My mom was stuck on getting something button-up for the girls to not have to pull over their heads so flannels was easy for us but I love the big scoop neck PJs and cute pants look!

I got my girls some capri leggings, and plain purple shirts. - Not too into the trend but wanted everyone to look similar.

I'm thinking just some plain robes. North Florida in the spring so we should all be comfortable!

I just told my girls to wear whatever they were comfortable in. I didn't want them to worry about getting a specific outfit, I didn't want to spend more money on it, and I'm just not that high-maintenance to care about something like this.

I didn't get anything for my BM to get ready in - they can wear what they want. I bought myself an oversized button-down shirt with a monogram of my new initial on it.

My girls wore whatever they wanted. I think the photos are cute and all but I think this is an expense that is a waste. Most people will never wear them again. Me personally I already have a nice robe of my own as do my friends. I don't wear fannels and neither do any of my friends.

My ladies are pretty stoked about getting ready outfits! I love the flannels and leggings idea! I think it would be so comfy!! I would do it too but I had hinted at getting robes before and my nieces (who will be Jr. BM's) and my MOH were all really excited. I would feel guilty switching it up now, heh.

THANK YOU! My plan was to buy them all at Old Navy and I didn’t know when the best time was to! I have so many of their flannels myself and love the material and assumed they would be the easiest to purchase. I am having a fall wedding in a barn so I figured they would also be a cute look for pictures.

I know, the PJs just look adorable!!! So we will see. It’s so hard to decide lol!

I bought myself and the girls Christmas PJs from Victoria's Secret. We all really love their PJs and I knew it would be something they would wear again and enjoy. In fact, one of my bridesmaids posted a picture of herself with her family on Christmas morning on Facebook and she was wearing the PJs!

This is very true! Something I’ll have to really think about more. That’s why I thought maybe doing PJ pants would be something they might wear in the future. We will see!
