Getting ready in hotel suite

JJAF, on February 21, 2018 at 12:12 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 18
I always see pictures of brides and grooms getting ready in a hotel suite. At the end of the night who does the suites go to? The bride and groom? Member of the wedding party?

We are getting a hotel room for us for 2 nights as the hotel on the property of the venue to get ready in. We will be staying there both nights.

We stayed together the night before our wedding so they guys got ready in our suite and then the girls got ready in my parent's suite. We had an intimate bridal party though, just family.

Generally the suite will go to the bride and groom since they are paying for it.

My experience is that "the bridal suite" was different from the honeymoon suite. The bridesmaids take the rooms for the night, while the bride and groom are in the honeymoon suite. I'm not really sure if this is standard in any way.

I am going to sleep in the room the night before, then the bridesmaids will arrive in the morning and we will get the limo and leave. I asked housecleaning to come after we leave so the wedding night it will be ready for me and my FH

    so we rented two nights.

We booked 2 suites for the night before the wedding and the night of the wedding. We will each be getting ready in different suites with our bridal parties the day of the wedding so we needed 2. The night of the wedding we will go back to one suite and we are giving the other to a GM since we won't be using it.

It depends on the hotel. For my first wedding, the hotel had a penthouse suite where the bride and her party got ready, and then that was where the bride and groom stayed for the wedding night. But for my most recent wedding, the bridal suite at the hotel was actually a room designed for wedding parties to get ready with salon chairs and lots of natural light, a kitchen and a private server just for us to feed us breakfast and lunch, couches, tables, chairs and a fireplace with a large bathroom and lots of floor length mirrors.

We rented a four bedroom house on the vineyard property for the weekend. My bridesmaids and I will be getting ready there the morning of. There is one room that is detached that my FH and I will be staying in our wedding night, haven’t decided if we will offer some of the other rooms to people yet. I’ve been a bridesmaid 13 times and have done just about every imaginable combination including going to a salon to get hair/makeup and just putting dress on at venue, getting ready together at a hotel suite, getting ready together at the venue, getting ready together at someone’s house, or getting ready alone and just showing up in my bridesmaid dress. I think it comes down to personal preference and what is financially possible for you.

We booked 2 suites...one the hotel gave to us as a concession for our hotel block (that will be used for me and the bridesmaids), the other for my groom to get ready. After the wedding my groom’s brother will take the groom’s suite and we will keep the other .

Sense my bridal party is mostly from out of town and single I'm planning on renting on room for two nights (for us to sleep in the night before, to get ready in, and then for them to sleep in after if they want) and then another room for my husband and I after the wedding.

I have my suite for two nights. Friday night it’s going to be me, my MOH, and my two bridesmen. Then Saturday it’s my FH and I. He is staying with his party At an air B&B on Friday and then obv with me on Saturday. He has the choice to get ready at his parents house (the house he grew up in) or at the church.
