Getting ready attire

Abi, on February 27, 2020 at 2:34 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 1 31

Hey ladies! I need your help. What should I get my girls to get ready in, they don't really want robes. I thought about PJ's, also considered flannels, but I'm in Texas and it will more than likely still be hot in October. Please help, there's so many options!

You could still do pajama sets but maybe in the form of shorts instead of pants ?

I did PJ's for my girls. These are the ones I got, I did theirs in the brown and got a pair for myself in white. They're a bit pricier than I would have liked, but they had a sale on when I bought them and they discount them a bit depending on how many you need.

I've seen some really cute tank tops, could be a good option if its too hot, there's also some super cute wider neck t-shirts. Also the shorts/short sleeve pj sets.

I gave my 9 bridesmaids 3 options. A short cotton waffle print robe, a strapless short romper, or a long PJ shirt. They were all black & all from Etsy.

What about vintage slips? Very delicate and feminine but comfy, they photograph well, and it's not hard to find them at a good price!

The more I think of an outfit to get ready in the more I don't want one. lmao. I think I'll let them wear whatever they like. Just no lingerie.

I'm planning on robes, but I've been having trouble with accurate sizing on them and quality. I should be receiving my 4th attempt sometime today. I'm buying mine to start with and if that sizing is accurate, then I'll get the rest.

The first one I bought was terrible, stiff material and the cut of the robe was NOT as advertised. Then the next 2 I tried had weird sizing (really big up top, but not nearly big enough around the hips). Keeping my fingers crossed that the 4th time is the charm.

No monogramming or anything personalized, just nice robes is all I want. Plus I'm giving them matching hair combs to wear and I got nice, insulated champagne flutes in various colors so they can each pick a color they like. I want to use the robes as "gift wrap" for the other items when I give them out.

I love the idea of a shirt dress with a monogram on the chest or sleeve!

I did button up PJ shorts sets from Silk and More on Etsy. My girls loved them. Super reasonably priced and I was able to give my girls’ heights so the shorts would be appropriate in length!

I’m doing flannel pajamas for my girls with matching tank tops - Friends themed Cuz that’s my favorite show lol. However, it’s Chicago in November, so it’ll be cold. I would look into short pajama sets.

I'm doing black leggings and a light tan button up tunic. I figure they can rewear those with anything pj's or not! And know my sisters and best friend, they will never say no to new leggings!
