Getting ready at home or the hotel?

I would say get ready at the hotel cause its closer for one.

The hotel might be better for pics of the gals.

If the guys stay at your FILs' house, there's no chance of FH seeing you.

Well, all of us will be at the hotel the night before (I am demanding a slumber party so that I don't have to risk scrambling to find a BM who slept in or can't get her car start, etc.) so we will get ready there. Not sure what the guys will do.

It totally depends… How many mirrors do you need, how much room do you need, how many ladies will you be packing in the hotel suite? I would stick with your original plan and do the major getting ready at the houses. And then use the free suite for the finishing touches like getting the dress on and having a glass of champagne. That way you won't need to truck all your supplies for getting gorgeous to the hotel. The boys should be fine at the house.

I'm getting ready at my moms house and my FH is staying at our apartment with the groomsmen and my Son.

Well...I just found that another bride on WW will be getting married the same day as I am and is getting married at the hotel that I'll be staying at. I'd rather not have it be awkward with two brides walking around the hotel on the same day, so I think that I'm going to get ready at my venue. FH, however, is planning on getting ready at the hotel.

All of the girls are getting ready at my place. The boys will be at the hotel. I'm just worried about not having everything we need. Plus the girls are all going back to my place after the wedding so they can just leave their stuff their rather than having to go back to the hotel or bring it with them.

I feel like in prime wedding season, there are going to be brides crawling around everywhere! Our photographer highly recommended NOT doing wedding portraits at Chicago landmarks like the Bean and such, b/c she said we would have to wait in line. That seems so weird to me!

FH and I have separate hotel rooms the night before the wedding so we can have that separate space to get married. That way we'll be close enough that our WP/families can easily go back/forth as they want to, but we're separated.

Also- that way our friends/family can crash with us slumber party style the night before, if they really want to. I've never been in a wedding where that is planned, but it almost always happens IME.
