Getting married with no rings

Nicolle, on April 2, 2020 at 3:53 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 4
So with this whole virus going around kay jewelers is closed until further notice so we cannot pick up our wedding rings and bands. we are getting married august 2020 so i really hope everything opens back up before then but if not i read online that as long as i have a marriage license and someone to marry us we will be legally married... but who would do this ...? would you still get married and wait for your rings to come when they do come ?

Rings are just a symbol of the marriage. In the eyes of God the marriage certificate doesn't mean anything either. The saying of vows and the commitment makes you married.

I agree with PP, at the end of the day the rings are a part of the ceremony but aren't the focal point. however hopefully by your date we have reached some form of normalcy in life.

As to who would do this, if you're on social media, you might post and ask. I have a friend who is ordained as a Wiccan priest who has offered to perform weddings with her on one side of a door, the couple on the other side, and no guests. The weddings don't have to be Wiccan; because she is a legal officiant, she can perform even secular weddings.
