Getting Married, then wedding the next day?

Your wedding is the day you get married. So, no ceremony in front of your guests if you are already married.

Just get married on thursday

We had friends who did this, had an intimate ceremony with just their parents and the officiant, with a reception the following night and no one minded missing the ceremony

@Mrs. Fall Bride, we would love to have our guest at the "original" ceremony, but the guest like my father and others say it's wrong to have a Thursday wedding. My thinking is that our wedding falls on Memorial Day weekend which mean yes they have to take off one extra day but they also have another day in return

It's not that I want a private ceremony. I would love for all our guest to be there the original date, but our date falls on a Thursday and some say it would inconvenience people

Either have your wedding on Thursday or don't have a second ceremony.
