Getting married on stage

Tiffany, on December 29, 2016 at 11:12 PM Posted in Planning 0 18

My venue has a stage, we plan on getting married on the stage, just trying to get some ideas of how walking up steps is going to work! They have a 5 step removable stair way. To be place right in front of stage

    It's a opera house.

    What's your question?

I would think you'd walk up the steps the same way you would with any other set of stairs, no?

Awesome venue! Is anyone escorting you down the aisle? If so, they can assist you up the stairs. If not, your husband can lend a hand.

Both my brothers are walking me, so maybe future husband can lend the hand at the steps. They will be the ones giving me away.

We're using an amphitheater! We're just walking up the steps like normal. Once my dad and I are down the steps/aisle..FH will be @ the bottom of the steps to take me and guide me up the stage steps. (There's 3 or 4 to get up on the stage)

The little steps are narrow! So we're thinking FH will walk behind & hold my train Smiley tongue (side note..the horrible canopy won't be up during the wedding!)

Oh I love that! That'll flow smoothly into the reception. Such a beautiful room!

Hi Tiffany! When you get a chance, it would be great if you would change your avatar (profile picture). Right now we're just seeing the default double rings picture, and that makes it hard for us to tell you apart from everyone else and start getting to know you. You can choose a picture of yourself or just about anything that you like...it's up to you! I'm posting instructions below, but if you have any trouble, just email a picture to community@weddingwire.com, and we'll be happy to update it for you!

Very pretty. Five stairs shouldn't be an issue! Just take it slow!

Just watch some old Oscar and Emmy shows on Youtube. Those ladies did a great job in heels and gowns (and with limited exception, they all made it up the stairs without tripping).

That venue is amazing. I was going to get married in the Theatre I use to run.. but couldn't get a reception venue close to it.

As for the stairs.. just take it slow.. maybe have your brothers on the sides of the stairs to help you or catch you if you fall.
