I would go to a bridal shop and have them show you different styles so you can see shapes you like or don’t like. Also decide if you want white, ivory, or another color like blush. There’s lots of choices the sales people can show you within every budget. Good luck!

Clarissa.. Hi. My wedding date is July 27, 2019 too. I went to find my dress 1 week after he proposed. It can be challenging but remember key things. It will be Hot. Are u doing traditional or non traditional. White or colored and go from there. Look online first to see if something catches your eye before you go driving around. If u see something you like be sure to try it on bc everything in a picture doesnt look good on us. You are doing great for your timeline. Start on pinterest and save some dresses you like to a board. This way you wont feel so overwhelmed when you go to look at dresses. This should be a fun time for trying dresses. If you're too stressed, you wont enjoy it. Btw, you are doing great with your timeline. My wedding is a year from now and all I have is my dress and venue. So don't fret. Just start looking at dress online and go from there.

View Quoted Comment I just went shopping yesterday and I went to simply bridal and the woman was a real Downer, complained that she was working etc and the selection want the best for what I wanted. My friend called other dogs nearby and I had an amazing appointment at BHLDN which is the bridal section of anthropology and loved everything about the experience and found the most beautiful dress at a great price. They treated me do nicely and they knew exactly what I had in mind. Good luck!

Hi there Clarissa!! Welcome to WeddingWire!!! It sounds like you're doing a great job with your planning! I agree with your kids: you should at least go out and try some more dresses on.

You can do some research and thinking about what sort of dress you want online (like in the WeddingWire wedding dress section), but there are tons of stories of people going to trying on dresses and being surprised that the dress they end up loving isn't at all what the imagined. I'm sorry you had such a sour time at David's, but don't let it ruin the wedding dress shopping experience for you.
