I don't have any advice as I've never been to Ireland but I wanted to chime in to say that eloping in Ireland sounds amazing. Ireland is on my list of must see places. I'm also eloping. I'm eloping here in the US and will honeymoon in Canada. I have a friend from Ireland and she has spoken fondly of the food and sweets there.

Unfortunately I don't have anyone to recommend, but we're honeymooning in Ireland. I'd definitely put the Cliffs of Moher and County Galway on your list of places to visit while you're there (a couple of my favorites when I visited in 2007).

Hi Emily! Welcome to WeddingWire and congrats on your engagement! That is so exciting! Do you know where in Ireland you want your elopement spot to be? I would start by looking at the marriage licensing & legalities that go along with eloping in Ireland, specifically. Will you be staying thereafter for your honeymoon?

We're getting married at the Cliffs! They've been on my bucket list for quite some time.

Maren, we are going to the Cliffs. We'll be there for 2 weeks. You have to notify the registrar 3 months prior of your intent of marriage than you have to meet with them 2 to 5 days before the wedding. I am in need of a wedding planner to help coordinate everything since I'm in the states. Some I've talked to are kind of pricey.

Hi Emily! Smiley heart That sounds amazing! Have you been there before?
It sounds like you have all of the legal logistics all figured out then! That's great! Smiley heart Makes perfect sense, yes taking a planner into account into budgeting and costs can be tricky. Are you looking for a day-of planner or a planner leading up to the big day? How many are going to be invited to your destination wedding?

Hi Emily and congratulations! I wish I had seen this post sooner but in case you're still looking for help, I thought I'd chime in.

My fiance and I are eloping at the Cliffs in September 2020. We have been working with Niall and Dara who own Sea View House in Doolin, Co Clare where we will be staying. I truly cannot praise them enough! I was concerned about paying an arm and a leg as well as the logistics of trying to plan from New York but the process has been quick, easy and fun and I cannot recommend them enough.

Hi Emily Smiley heart I'm also getting married in Ireland this year. My family lives in Ireland so they've been helping me a lot with the venue and the party, in particular the music, which was very important for us. I'm not sure about wedding planners because I've been doing it myself (I wish I'd had someone's help) but if you need help organizing the reception, the band I've hired is Groove Collective , they're from Cork and really easy to deal with. Hope it helps!

    Hi Kayla,
I stumbled upon your response to Emily today. Peach Perfect seems like such a good way to go about this. Now that you’ve had your wedding, how did everything turn out??

Peach Perfect was way too expensive. We have had to cancel everything though. I was diagnosed with stage 3b colorectal cancer in March and I'm having surgery the day we were supposed to fly out. I'd rather push it back because I'm not feeling 100%. I want to enjoy that trip. Kate was reasonably priced and super sweet!
