My future husband and I have decided we would really love to be married by a friend of the family. Looking at the things that are important to the two of us and how we want the ceremony to go, this seems to be the perfect fit.
We know who we are asking and he knows it's coming, but before we sit down with him for the detailed discussion I want to make sure I have all my ducks in a row, and that includes how we will go about getting him ordained. I'm just wondering if anyone has experience with this process in New York State. I've done some research and gotten a lot of information, but with something this important, I would feel much more comfortable if I had advice from someone who has been through it!
