Getting a marriage license

Sfam, on December 2, 2019 at 6:18 PM Posted in Planning 0 5
There’s about 16 days until our wedding, we’ve been busy so we haven’t gotten our license, but we’re going this week. I didn’t realize but my I’d expires tomorrow. Would that be ok to still use ? I’ll go have it renewed soon too but they only give a white piece of paper now with no picture

You should call your county clerk's office and ask.

It's going to vary per state but definitely you two should go tomorrow because some states do have a waiting. Before you can get married. Most sites that I have seen will also accept a passport if you have that. I would check the marriage laws for yours individual state.

Our county clerk didn't even bother to look at our IDs lmao!

It really depends on the state. Massachusetts didn't need to see ID at all, so long as we were both obviously over 18. You should check with the clerk's office on what you'll need.

Checking with the county is always your best bet! Smiley smile
