Getting a dress altered in lockdown!

Yakira, on March 27, 2020 at 9:18 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 3
Hi team!
Grateful for this community during such an anxiety ridden time! My wedding day is set for July 18 and I have the most amazing dress but alterations were set to start on April 9. Unfortunately, everything non essential is shut down and I’m worried that by the time everything reopens, it will be too late to alter my dress!

What are other brides doing for alterations during this time?

Try calling the shop you were having alterations done at. Mine are scheduled for the 11th and when i called because i hadn’t heard otherwise, they let me know their alterations department was still open.

My second fitting got postponed till further notice. Hoping no other alterations will need to be made whenever I can get back into the store and try on...

I am getting mine done in a boutique. They are still in a way doing business, Don't think its open everyday. My wedding is in april and she will let me pick up my dress. She said shes still dong appoints but only one bride at a time. So maybe look for a boutique where the owner can do such a thing cause its her shop.
