Get a dance floor or not get a dance floor?

Sara, on January 6, 2021 at 9:22 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 8
So I got a hold of my venue today, which I was honestly nervous about. About 6 months after signing contracts with then, they sold to a new owner and then we had to postpone anyways. So the new owner has been doing upgrades. One of which was putting in new carpet in the banquet hall. It looks great but now there is no hardwood floor for the dancing. Should I look into one of those removable dance floors? Does it matter? Will it be weird dancing on carpet? Pic of my venue for help.Get a dance floor or not get a dance floor? 1

If you have the extra money then go for it, but it's definitely not necessary. If I were a guest I wouldn't care of the dancefloor was on hardwood or carpet 🤷🏾‍♀️. That's a cute venue though!

I wouldn’t care either but I think that’s also something maybe you should ask your venue? They might require it

I agree. I don’t think people would care either way but again you would have to contact your venue to see if they would even allow it.

I probably wouldn’t care as a guest. I can’t even tell you if I’ve ever danced on carpet or not I don’t remember lol. But your venue may actually have one you can rent or they might not allow it etc so I’d as them first. And then I would suggest asking your DJ company if they have one they can include.

Talk to the venue first. Then contact a local party rental company for prices. I've only ever danced on concrete but I can't imagine carpet being an issue

Our venue was carpeted. We didn’t put anything down for a dance floor, it was fine. I wouldnt stress about it.

Have you asked your venue if they have a dance floor they can put down? I would think as an event venue, that would be something they would have...
