Garter toss, yay or nay.

I skipped both the garter toss and the bouquet toss for my wedding.

I like the garter toss - just some fun. It’s tradition in my family and friend circles, and I enjoy silly traditions like that. Its totally possible to do without being gross or suggestive. But to each their own!

No opinion. Don’t hate it but don’t enjoy it. We have never seen in real life outside of YouTube any of the inappropriate behavior: men doing stripper type dances or accosting the winner of the bouquet toss.


We don’t have many single males in our circles anyway. However we love the alternative idea of tossing a plush animal.

We had a garter toss, and it was a lot of fun. My husband looks a lot like Clark Kent (to the point even strangers will come up to him and mention it), so he wore a Superman shirt under his dress shirt and revealed it at the garter toss. It was a good time, and people enjoyed it.

Generally, it’s falling out of fashion. I believe that now only about 30 percent of couples do it. Personally, I don’t like where the tradition originated and am happy to leave it in the past.

I didn't do it and no one missed it.

It depends on if you want to go traditional or not. Your wedding your choice

We won’t be doing a garter toss or bouquet toss. It usually awkward from weddings I’ve attended and all of my family and friends are already in relationships or married.

Fiancé wants to skip it! He doesn’t want someone to touch something that was on me 🤣🤣.

Definitely skipping garter toss. I think it’s very strange and uncomfortable.

I’m going for the garter and bouquet toss. Just a little fun and a moment to hassle, in a fun and joking way, the unmarried boys and girls. Makes for a great photo opportunity to add to memories of the day, and provides a keepsake for the guests.
