Future Spouse Appreciation

When FH and I first started planning our wedding, I will admit that he was less than helpful. Every idea I presented him he shot down quickly. After talking about what he was comfortable with, we settled on a plan that we both will enjoy and are okay with. Even still, he doesn't help much with the actual planning. He mainly just signs off on stuff that I present to him like caterer, centerpieces, etc. Lately, it's the little things I've come to appreciate about FH and his way of helping with the wedding. I was discussing making my own bouquets and he offered to make a date out of it and do it together. I also ran a bunch of ideas by him yesterday and after I was finished he just looked at me and said "You're so good at this, and I appreciate the time and thought you've put into our day." Totally boosted my mood and made me excited to marry this man. It's the little things ladies! What has your future spouse done during the planning process that made you appreciate him/her?

I was putting our invitation suite together. Found a gorgeous design on zazzle. Every so often I would ask his opinion on spacing and sizing (he's a graphic designer so he would know better than me). He gave me his approval on just about everything so that made me feel good.

It came to the layout of the RSVPs and I just hit a brick wall for whatever reason. I asked for his help and he pretty much took over. Shot out a couple of ideas and we walked through them together and he helped me finalize the RSVP layout. It was so nice to have spent that little time with him.

FH has been great the whole wedding planning. He's gone to every vendor meeting with me and helped me make all the big decisions. He tells me that I can pick what I want and he'll be happy because he wants this day to be about me. But I value his opinion so much, that its hard to make a decision without him. He's been super supportive on nearly everything. He's mostly looking forward to our STDs and invites because he is going to custom design them from scratch. He's also trying to convince me to get a custom pair of Vans so he can design those too so that he feels he has a part in my look the day of.

FH found a videographer! I was completely floored when he actually showed me the confirmation. The price was great too

My FH was the same way. He was super lax and didn't care about much of anything at first. Then the one year mark hit and he has been thinking about it almost as much as I. He even texted me today asking how much we still owe on the venue. He's all excited about getting everyone's addresses for the STDs and the invites.
