I don't think we're incorporating anything. Maybe pose for one or two pictures but that's it.

My sister is a police officer and her now ex husband was a firefighter. They had two small cakes, one a fire truck and one a police car with flashing lights and sirens. She had a badge on her garter.

I'm getting a garter with the thin blue line on it and some little handcuffs.

Thank your fiancé please! My dad was SWAT. we didn't incorporate that at all (because it's my dad not my guy lol) but at my first wedding the wonderful officers I'd known all my life served as bouncers in case my then-hubby's family got unruly

The last wedding we went to, the bride made a grooms cake of his police car with the same numbers as his and his partners actual patrol car. The thing had lights and everything. Hilarious! Also, after their ceremony his partner came out and cuffed the bride and groom to each other as a joke. For our wedding I found a cake topper of a bride and groom with a stethoscope on the bride and the groom was in a police uniform. (I'm a nurse--apparently we are a popular combo!) It was cute and found it on etsy!!! Any job references, I plan to keep light. After all, it's our day off!! Ps any other nurses out there get roped in with these boys??

I ordered a police garter as a simple little touch. And our officiant suggested that when I announces us husband and wife, he handcuffs us together

My FH is a police officer and I'm going to have his town police patch sewn into the inside of my dress. nothing that anyone else needs to see but will be a nice surprise for him when I show him.
