Oh my goodness, I am so sorry for your loss, and so close to your wedding and on your birthday. I have no adequate words. I can't even imagine.

I’m so sorry, I would ask your FH husband what he wants to do and respect his wishes even if that meant postponing. Ask someone on your side to help find out what that would entail so you know what your options and costs are. I’m truly sorry you’ll have some tough decisions to make quickly.

I'm so sorry for your loss! You'll need to sit down and speak with your fiance about how what to do over the next few days. I don't know how your venue and vendors are but if you explain the situation maybe you can postpone without a huge financial impact.

Thanks, all. FH’s dad told us before he passed that he still wanted us to have the wedding. FH wants to continue as well.... but I think that he’s just numb at the moment. His older brother and best man has understandably been inconsolable, and as much as FH may be able to hold strong and stay in survival mode through this weekend, I’m not so sure that everyone else is.

I’m truly sorry for your loss!!! It’s one of those situations that no matter what you do it will be a complicated and very emotional... 5 days before wedding it’s so hard!!! It will be a very emotional day, especially if y’all attending a funeral around the time of your wedding... good luck with every and stay strong for your FH

I would take your FH’s lead on this Attending and wedding and funeral within a few days will be tough for everyone involved. I pray that you find happiness in your special day because I’m sure that’s what your future FIL would have wanted for you both.

This is so awful...I'm so sorry for your loss. I know the wedding is coming up but maybe you can write just a short little note to your fiance before the wedding to let him know how much you care and love him and just let him know you will be there for him. Just a thought...
