Funny RSVP Wording

Monica, on May 21, 2013 at 2:06 PM Posted in Planning 0 8

I saw this somewhere...Offbeat Bride, maybe...and I think I'm going to use it for my RSVP.

____ I'll be there with bells on!

____ I'll be there; no bells.

____ Sorry, cannot attend. Bell phobia.

I think this is freaking hilarious! Have you seen any other funny RSVP wording that you might want to use?

I think throwing the second line in there will confuse people who don't take the time to read the whole thing. They'll just see "no" and stop reading. I don't want to rain on your parade, but I'm trying to help you avoid issues later.

Some things seem like a good idea, but are not good in execution.

I'm a technical writer so I know how well people DON'T read.

Hmmmm...Paris, you could be right. I'll be thinking more about this. I still have plenty of time. I might even find a better idea. Thank you!

It's a really funny idea, but Paris is right. Are you looking specifically for witty RSVP wording, or just some unique RSVP wording? For our RSVP cards, we used "wouldn't miss it for the world" and "will celebrate from afar".

I agree with Paris that it could be confusing, but I do love the idea of non-traditional wording for RSVP! I have seen some (different) funny ones I think on pinterest and was going to use one but then I did online RSVP and couldn't change the wording for that : (
