Funny rsvp Stories

Mrs. Sponge, on March 23, 2018 at 3:56 PM Posted in Planning 0 9

We've been getting our RSVPs back, and we got one back from my friends that I thought was funny/weird. We have RSVP postcards, that had stamps on them. My friends sent theirs back in an envelope and wrote under the stamp they weren't sure if it was real. Has anyone else had anything weird happen with their RSVPs?

H’s aunt checked both “attending” and “declines” and then wrote a drew a huge smiley face across the card. Haha it was so weird.

also, one of my uncles included a Chewbacca sticker on his RSVP. I have no idea why.

For my first wedding, one cousin wrote he was attending, then in the regrets space he wrote "Yes, I have a few......" So I am curious what he will say this time.

My parent's neighbors (who they are friends with) replied that they were coming and added a note "Can you please uninvite your dad?" Got a good laugh at of that one!

We have a little note at the bottom to note any dietary restrictions. One of FH's coworkers noted that he can't eat any non-meat products.... obviously joking Smiley tongue

For a friend’s wedding they asked for guests to list their accommodations on the RSVP card so they could properly schedule guest shuttles. One of my notoriously high maintenance friends misunderstood what they were asking and wrote it “decaf coffee” as a personal accommodation they could make for her! 😂😂

We are receiving them back with no number written in for # attending. And they are the ones that we know are a family. Or some will have a number and no name. Also we got one back with an outrageous number on it but they are a single person with no kids. I very politely made a call and told them that is a no no.

I’ve had several people call and ask if my RSVP postcards needed envelopes too!😂

We had online RSVPs. They allowed each person to accept or decline, and make a meal choice. So my son puts that he is accepting and his then girlfriend (now wife) was declining (because it was a weekday, and she couldn't get the time off). But he also makes meal choices for both of them, in hopes of getting to eat a second meal himself. Needless to say, we didn't let him get away with that!

I had the same thing! Except it's my FMIL and and under the number of children, she listed 35. I informed my FH her may have a ton of siblings he didn't know about. HAHAHA. We haven't talked to her about it. I'm assuming it was a joke but a tiny part of me is worried she has plans to bring a bunch of people (only like a 5% chance). Or maybe she's making her guess of the number of children attending. I probably need to ask her about it.
