Funny RSVP responses?

SphynxLover, on February 5, 2014 at 1:18 PM Posted in Planning 0 11

I looked up some examples and really want to have a fun RSVP card. Some do look a little confusing so I might order some traditional ones for older people in the family. My question is a lot don't really match my theme. I am having an eco-friendly vintage wedding. Lots of moss, wildflowers and live plants. I really laughed at the "with bells on" response but do you think it really matters that is doesn't go with my theme?

No, doesn't matter at all. Maybe one person in a hundred will take the time to say, "Hey, these RSVPs really match!" and less than that would ever think, "Boy, these don't match at all!" Trust me.

I'm having an outdoorsy wedding and sending out mad lib RSVPS. I'm picking out the best/funniest ones and displaying them at the reception. Smiley smile

    Zoe is right.

Oh and I often add my own "with bells on" to rsvps (or some other remark)!

Seriously, do whatever you find clever or cute. Just to add one, my cousin did:

"We will be there with our party pants on"

"Sorry, we will celebrate from afar"

I agree with others that the RSVP card doesn't have to match the wedding theme. My main concern is that the overall look of my invitations (color and decoration) match my theme. But I think what you are considering is totally fine.

I love RSVPs which say, "Happily Accept, Regretfully Decline, Regretfully Accept, or Happily Decline." They're too funy.

    My friends had something like

"I was going to wash my hair that night but I guess it can wait" (for yes I'll be there")

    and

"Sorry, my favorite TV show is on that night and I don't want to miss it" (for regrets/ can't make it)

I think it's a fun idea to do clever RSVP cards. So what if they don't match your theme. Like some other ladies said, it's your day so do what you like and what makes you happy!
