Fun father daughter dances?

My dad and I have a really great relationship. When we think about our father daughter dance, ourselves and our fam expect us to do something silly and fun.

We both really love the band Queen. He was obsessed in the 80s and 90s, and I’m the only one in the family that shares his love for the band. We’ve actually seen them live twice! I think it would be super cool to find a song by Queen to dance to, but their songs aren’t really “father daughter dance” songs, haha.

Anyone have any suggestions? Queen, not Queen but fun, or just sweet songs to dance to with your dad? I’m not a country fan so we wouldn’t do that genre.

Personally, as a Queen song, I think "Another One Bites the Dust" would be hilarious, plus it's got a good beat. Outside of that, I've always loved seeing people dance with their dads to "My Girl" by the Temptations is adorable.

Music is one of the main things me and my father bond over! We don't have a bad relationship but not really a "sentimental" one either. We both love 60s/70s/80s rock, but we also love softer rock such as Queen too. I was leaning towards doing something a little different like Rock n' Roll All Nite by Kiss and doing a more quirky dance with my dad!

I used to sing that song to my gal friends when they broke up with their loser boyfriends in middle/high school. They always thought it was hilarious! Not sure about it for a wedding, haha

I love Queen and listened to them all the time growing up with my parents. I don’t have any good suggestions but when I mentioned to my parents in a group text that my dad and I still needed a song for the father/daughter dance my mom immediately replied with “fat bottomed girls”. I had a good laugh but definitely didn’t choose that song haha.

Don't Stop Me Now
Killer Queen

Personally, the first two are pretty adorably perfect, depending on what you're going for.

I went to a wedding recently that the daddy daughter dance was from toy story- You Got a Friend in Me and it was so adorable!

I think "You are my best friend" would be a lot of fun! It is just so upbeat and happy!
I know if I could do a dance with my dad I am pretty sure I would choose James Taylor "You've Got a Friend" We had the same relationship as you and your dad. Very similar taste in music and books. My mom always tells me I am my father's child! That is why I would pick that one!
