Full Length Song or Fading It Out?

Kelly, on November 15, 2018 at 4:05 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 25

Do you enjoy being in the spotlight or are you more reserved when it comes to being the center of attention? When it comes to your spotlight dance, are you soaking up the attention with a full length song? Or are you trying to keep things moving and choosing to fade it out early on?

We had a choreographed dance! So we faded out the song when he dipped me at the end of our dance.

I want the full song. This is our one day to celebrate and this is our moment to really soak it all in and be thankful for our marriage and the people who came to celebrate! Watching a 3 minute dance or a faded out 1.5 minute dance really makes no difference to me in the grand scheme of things. FH and I picked that song for a reason, we are dancing to the whole thing and soaking it up!

I believe we'll dance to our full song, but fade the songs with the father/mother dances. Never looked to see how long our song is, so hopefully it's not crazy!

I just did half the song. He and I get bored watching others dance a full song, we didn't want that for ours guests.

I’m thinking we’ll fade out. Four minutes is just too long in the spotlight

I haven’t decided on this yet Smiley winking I go back and forth on it. I really love our first dance song, and want to hear and enjoy the whole thing. But I don’t want people to get bored watching us either.

We did the full song and had our guests join in towards the end. It was great to be with everyone, sharing in our love and happiness.

We're having everyone else join us after the chorus so we're not the center of attention for the entire song but still get to enjoy the whole thing. Plus it's a good way to get the floor packed to start off the dancing

We did the full song - it wasn't terribly long so there was no need to cut it. A song we ALMOST used was almost 7 minutes long though, so had we used that we probably would have asked our DJ to put together a shorter edit! But our 3 minute-ish song flew by! Felt like only 30 seconds!

Our song is only 2 and a half minutes long, so I think we'll do the whole thing LOL

Fading it out!!! We didn't love being in the spotlight for slow dancing and I wanted to keep things moving, so we faded all of our songs out after about 45 seconds! Smiley shame

We did the whole song, but it was a choreographed dance and the song was only 2.5 minutes long.

It was awesome and everyone did! Our first dance was “Thank you for loving me” by Bon Jovi (I’m a huge fan).

At first I thought we would do the full song. Then we ended up choosing a song that was a good 4 minutes long. We ended up having the song cut, so some of the middle of it was taken out just so it wasn't as long. Especially with other dances to do after ours. We also had the songs my dad and I used and Husband and his mom used cut down to the 2 to 3 minute mark.
