Smiley sad Hope you can find the right pill for you. Yasmin gave me severe stomach pains after eating, it just wasn't for me.

Article about Brand Name Vs Generic: http://newsblogs.chicagotribune.com/triage/2009/07/generic-vs-brand-name-birth-control.html

One tip I have is before switching to a new brand, make sure you're not getting the exact same active ingredients again (to be safe). My doctor did that to me twice. Yahoo! Health used to make it so easy, you could type in "Birth Control Pills" and every formula would come up and when you clicked on the link to the page about that specific formula, the brand names would come up with it. I think it has changed though. Yaz is drosperinone. Seasonique is Levonorgestrel.

I was on Seasonique for a while before stopping BC all together. My insurance wouldn't cover it, so my doctor gave me samples. Each pack would have been $170-190, but I was given a 9 month supply for free! Smiley smile I ended up giving a pack away to my sister. Me The Pill = No Bueno. I would start off fine for the first month, then my issues would hit me like a rock.

Just this month I went from Yaz to Gianvi. It hasn't messed with my moods (or I don't think, my FH may have something else to say about that lol) but I've have nausea every single day since switching. Its horrible but it also happened when I started Yaz so hopefully it won't last more than 2 months.

I was on Yaz for almost a year and loved it! Its the only pill that didn't cause me to have horrible side effects (spotting, nausea etc..) I started Gianvi this month and I hate it! I've had nothing but spotting and I seem to be a bit moodier. Not too many changes in my appetite (although sometimes I wish there was Smiley laugh )
