It really is up to you then. If you didn't already have a budget set for a florist, I'd say look up the average cost of each arrangement that's she's doing for you and total everything up. It also depends on how extravagant and/or simple it is. If that number is too big for you, then see what the total is after cutting it in half. I think it would at least be a great start and go from there to at least give you a better idea of what you really want to give her or what you really can afford. Besides, I don't think she'd say "whatever you can afford" if she didn't mean it.

    Good luck Jazz!

Use fiftyflowers.com and Thumbtack.com as pricing guidelines

By your post, I am assuming you are providing the flowers/vases and she is creating/arranging? I would say $200 (that comes to about $25/hour for 8 hours- a days work)

Although on a side note, most florists charge $200+ just to deliver and set up.

The amount you’re looking for is about $2000 in CA (that’s with in season and lower cost flowers). Floral prices have gone up quite a bit in recent months, so you want to make sure you factor in that, along with the time it takes to process, design, deliver, and set up your arrangements. I’d ask her how much her wholesale cost on flowers and vases will be, then add in probably another $400-600 for her work.

Are you purchasing the flowers and she is just arranging them and taking care of set up/take down, or is she providing the flowers? If the latter and depending on the type of flowers, that would probably run anywhere from $2000 to $3000 in my city. If you are providing the flowers and she is just doing the arranging/delivery/setup/takedown part, then I'd just ask her what she normally charges for her work and go from there.
