Friday rehearsal start time

AM, on March 22, 2019 at 7:10 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 5
Hi there
We have a Saturday June wedding and planning to do a rehearsal at 5pm on the night before (a Friday). We’re renting a banquet room in the hotel from 5-8 (830 latest) to host bridal party and their guest with family for a low key rehearsal dinner. Almost all of our guests are coming in from out of town, bridal party included. Is 5pm a reasonable start time on a Friday for the rehearsal, so even if it goes an hour, we’d still get 2 hours to spend for dinner? I think if most people aren’t taking off Friday, they’re planning to leave work early.

I think 5pm should be fine! We’re getting married on a Friday so we’re having a Thursday rehearsal and starting it at 5:30 and our bridal party is local. Maybe double check what time flights come in and if that’s a good timeframe for them to get to their hotel and then to the rehearsal

Sounds like a good plan to me! We plan to do our June wedding rehearsal the Friday before at 5pm as well. Smiley smile

Sounds fine as long as everyone is aware of the plans. If anyone isn't able to make it can you just continue on and fill them in later?

To update- We pushed rehearsal to 5:30. There were 3 girls that missed the rehearsal entirely, but we proceeded on without them. Everyone else was on time!
