"freshen up" basket

bluebird54, on December 15, 2013 at 8:27 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 9

Is anyone providing a "freshen up" basket in the ladies' room at the reception? There may be people from the wedding in the other room using our bathroom, and my FH thinks they might take things (which is possible). If you're doing this, what are you putting in it? Do you think it's something I should spend money on/worth it? ThanksSmiley smile

If there is a basket in a bathroom, people will take things. Figure there is vendor staff, and guests from both weddings. If it is going to bother you that someone else took things, I would not do it.

My mom did ones for both the mens and ladies rooms (but we were the only wedding that night). She put travel size deodorants, tissues, body spray/perfume, hand lotion, aspirin, mints.

I think I will probably do this. However, our wedding will be the only event there that night.

Good points, I guess I will do it and just know that most likely everything will be gone by the end of the night! lol (hopefully used only by my guests). There will be a poem next to it that I found on pinterest with our names, so hopefully the non-guests respect that.

We are definitely doing one (at least in the ladies room). Our wedding location is in the country so we are having the nice trailer portable bathrooms (with flushing toilets/running water/AC). The nearest gas station is a few miles away.... I would like to know what kind of wording people are using for their toiletry basket. I already can pick out what guests will take everything and dump it into their purse...

I don't plan on spending over $50 for sure.

Bathroom baskets are a yes for me. I love the baskets in the bathroom at weddings. I always appreciate them, even if there's only gum or mints in them. I think at least mints or gum in the men's room is must. They don't need all the extras we ladies might use.

I am making for both bathrooms. We will be the only people using our Venue. I hope people use it all that is the purpose. I too love the baskets at bathrooms and think it is a nice touch.

We are for sure doing one. I think they are great. You can put one together for pretty cheap from the Dollar Tree. I plan on putting aspirin, tums, cough drops, mints, hair spray, feminine products, spray deodorant, combs, hair ties, bobby pins, tissues, lotion, and body spray in ours. There is another wedding going on the night of ours, and I can care less if random people use the stuff. Oh man some random took a puff of hairspray, boohoo.
