Has anyone used fresh flowers for their hair (comb, crown, etc?) Would you recommend it?

Many brides do with no issues. Take a look at at Pinterest and talk to your florist. Very few if any flowers are so delicate that they won't hold up.

I've worn flowers in my hair for a bunch of different events before and it's true some are hardier and last better than others, but they are very pretty.

That said, even the most long-lasting of flowers will be a little wilted by the end of the night, and I don't want to have to worry about that, so I don't plan to wear them for my wedding, but you can easily talk to your florist about what he or she recommends - they will be able to make suggestions as to what you should or shouldn't choose if you're concerned about longevity.

When I worked in bridal, we would always tell our brides using fresh flowers for their hair to get multiples of the flowers or arrangements they planned on using, because overtime they do wilt. Our recommendation was one for ceremony, one for reception, one for pictures and one for emergencies, but I don’t know how many brides wound up needing all of those. Personally I feel like two would probably suffice.
