Fresh Bouquet Price & Lifespan

How much is reasonable for a 12”-ish hand tied bouquet? My venue quoted me $400, is that reasonable for Hawaii price? Do people bargain on this?

How long was the lifespan of your fresh bouquet?

I paid $275 for my bouquet in California. I have no idea how long it will last because I never saw it again after the ceremony haha. You can ask if they can use cheaper flowers to bring the price down. I know if they use out of season flowers it will cost more.

Make sense. I am loving the orchid bouquet and I thought it would be cheaper in Hawaii, but nope. One florist told me they import their flowers from LA, because it’s cheaper that way. Due to the pandemic, they can’t even promise me the pineapple boutonnière for my dh ☹️

I was quoted very high for the bouquet I wanted. Turns out the flowers I asked for do NOT grow where I am getting married. I’ve cut the cost in half by going with local flowers that always grow in Jamaica. Use local flowers, use more greens too. 400 seems a bit high. I was quoted 325 for the calla lily bouquet I wanted, and 130-150 for the tropical bouquet, with local flowers. They tell me the local flowers will last longer in the heat, maybe this is true, maybe not.

    Good luck!

My cascade bouquet was $165 in Kauai. I kept them in the fridge with hopes of mailing it to get pressed, but you can’t mail flowers out of Hawaii- didn’t find this out until I went to UPS. They lasted a few days before they started wilting.

What kind of flowers were they? $165 for a cascade sounds like a good deal!

I also asked for orchid. This cymbidium without the astilbe, because they are not native. $385 was the quote before tax and fees. Fresh Bouquet Price & Lifespan 1
Since your bouquet is similar in type, same state, but only half the price, and even a cascade (which is usually more expensive than the hand tied version), how do I ask to lower the price without sounding “impolite” in wording?

This was mine, my sister took the photo from up top cause we were in the car.

Is there another place you can reach out to for a quote? I asked 3 different vendors and chose based on how kind they were. Some people are rude when you ask questions!
