free cake tasting

Hi! I'm not sure about how things are in NYC, but I got married last year in the Bay Area. All I did was look for bakers that do wedding cakes, and just let them know I was considering them for my wedding. It seemed that all of them offer free cake tasting; I just had to schedule a time to go in, and each time, I was even able to bring my groom and a couple of friends!

Good luck! I think a baker that really wants you to consider their shop should be able to offer you a sampling of their flavors.

Yes, ditto! If you let a vendor know you're interested, they should let you try their cake for free before you book them.

I am not familiar with N.Y. But shouldn't cake tasting always be FREE?? If not, find a bakery that really wants to serve you. A no obligation interview with taste testing should be the norm. Pleasing the bride and groom is the bakers objective if he wants your business. Good luck!
