My fiance and I have a 12,000 dollar budget. we both don't have parents or family so we have to pay for the wedding ourselves of course he makes way more money than me so I have to go through him when we find things for the wedding long story short I found a awesome photographer and they're going to give us a beautiful price but the problem is he wants us to pay upfront like now but we don't have the money right now how do we go about it telling him we don't have the money big problem is if we don't have the money by next week the deal is off so stressed out and freaking out

Honestly? Sounds super sketchy. Any honest, reliable vendor would never require the full amount up front. It sounds like a nightmare waiting to happen. What's your budget for photography? Maybe posting a discussion with referrals that would fit your budget is a better, and safer option.

Have you discussed this with the photographer? It's very unusual to be asked to pay the full fee in advance of the event. Could you discuss making a deposit and then paying the remainder of the fee once your wedding is over?

I definitely would not pay the amount up front especially if you are feeling pressured by the vendor. Sounds sketchy, do more research and protect yourselves. Everything will work out in the end. You will be married to the love of your life
